  • Spider issue - base URL conversion

I did a spider in the past where I was indexing a web page with a url of:

    http://csdms01.XXXXXX.com/rs-bin/RightSite.dll/formexec?DMW_INPUTFORM=cs_searchresults&start_row= 0&max_searchvalue=634&nval=634&publishedonly=&sear chtitle=@null&a_status=Approved&site=Cross-Site&document_type=Specification-Mstr&owner_group=SFTD-StrategicFacTechnologyDev&and_or=and&sortorder1=ob ject_name&nval=634

And it converts the base URL to:
    http://csdms01.XXXXXX.com/rs-bin/RightSite.dll/

I swear it worked in the past but can't get it to run follow the internal links or external links. Where there are 634

    Any ideas?

You can change the base URL by clicking on "More", selecting the URL and clicking on "Edit".

So if you have a URL like the above, where the parameter definition makes the automatically determined base URL to be incorrect, click on Edit and change the base URL to what it should be.

The style of that URL makes it difficult to determine the base URL, since "RightSide.dll" could very well be the name of a directory.
