V5.1 is about 10 years old and no longer supported. I would suggest upgrading to the latest version for support.

Having said that, I'm a bit confused by your description. You mention you are using the ".php option" but also that you are using the "/cgi-bin folder" and that there is an "executable" in the "/search" folder. There should be no executable if you are using the PHP option, nor would you need the cgi-bin folder.

Or are you using a PHP front-end script to wrap results from the CGI?

In any case, you will need to either verify that your index is not corrupted (which is what the error message suggests) or upgrade if you want us to take a look.

    Error in zoom_pageinfo.zdat

I'm running zoom 5.1, build 1017, and I can't get any searches to work. Each time I get the error "The zoom_pageinfo.zdat file is invalid or not up-to-date. Please make sure you have uploaded all files from the same indexing session." and "Error in wordmap: page number is invalid." Here's the situation:
    • I use zoom to upload the files, in "pasv" mode
    • I deleted all the files on the webserver and pushed a complete new set
    • The error occurs whether I use the default or a custom results page
    • I'm running the .php option, on a linux server with apache
    • The search is called from the /cgi-bin folder on the webserver
    • the executable is in the /search folder

Any help woudl be greatly appreciated !
