  • Substring Matching and Highlighting Words

    Hello,

On our site, we are using the substring matching option. We're also using the highlighting option. We know if the entire word matches the search term, it will be highlighted. But if a substring of the word includes the search term, it is not highlighted.

Is there a way to highlight the substring word within the entire word?

Example: I search for "Schizo", in the results I would like schizophrenia to be highlighted.

    Thanks,
    Marc

There's no support for this at the moment.

If you're using V7, then in the search results, at least one occurrence within the context description will be highlighted. So in that case, the whole word "schizophrenia" will be highlighted. But never a partial highlight, and not all occurrences. This is an improvement from the V6 highlighting feature, so you should make sure you're using the latest V7 release at least.
